I enjoy trying new ingredients and recipes. I want to have as many recipes in my recipe box to pass on to my children as I possibly can. I was sent a package of NECTRESSE™Sweetener to try out. From the maker of Splenda® Sweeteners, this brand new product derives its natural sweetness from the monk fruit, a small green melon that has grown on lush vines in remote mountain regions in Asia for hundreds of years. Deliciously sweet monk fruit extract is combined with the perfect blend of other natural sweeteners to bring you and your readers the rich sweet taste of sugar without all the calories. NECTRESSE™ Sweetener is is a Natural No Calorie sweetener that is 150 times sweeter than sugar and can be used in cooking and baking to add natural, zero calorie per serving sweetness in your favorite beverages and a delicious variety of foods. NECTRESSE™ Sweetener is available now in grocery stores, drug stores, supercenters and online for suggested retail prices of $3.99 (packets) and $6.99 (canisters). One packet of NECTRESSE™Sweetener equals 2 teaspoons of regular sugar. You can request a FREE sample of NECTRESSE™Sweetener to give it a try yourself.
I first tried NECTRESSE™ Sweetener as a replacement for the sugar I add to my coffee and Cinch shakes, adding one packet to each shake recipe I made or cup of coffee. Then I decided to replace the sugar ingredient in a recipe I had made once before to see if the taste was any better or different. I used the NECTRESSE™ Sweetener in my CopyCat Pizza Hut Pan Pizza recipe. I am enjoying the NECTRESSE™ Sweetener as a sugar substitute and my guys haven't even noticed that I made the switch to the new sweetner from their regular sugar.
